category of a "Western". I've seen it and i think it barely qualifies as a western.

It takes place it the west; that's about it.
(Personally, I don't think it qualifies as a film)

It was WAY loosely based on the TV show from the 1960's
and it is set in the old west...nothing to do with the future.
and the TV show was a western/comedy
the movie isn't sci-fi
