I really think that the Ravens have absolutely have the best chance at winning the Super Bowl this year too. People can say all they want about the team being old and what not. The offense is better now because Billick is calling plays and that's one of his many strengths as a coach. He's more creative with it as well and he builds a game plan for the offense that ties into everyone's strengths.
The defense will also be the best in the league again. There strong from the D-line all the way to the secondary.
The Ravens will be fired up all season long and they'll have plenty of motive to do it, considering the embarassing performance of the offense in the playoffs last year. There built to contend and it helps that the Browns will once again suck, the Bengals spend more time either in a court room or behind bars and the Steelers are going through sort of a rebuilding phase. They do have some tough games on the road this year and at home, but all the defense needs is like 20 points from the offense and they can virtually beat anyone.

They will only be able to compete for a playoff spot.
McNair is aging and Boller is mediocre at best.
I like McGahee( he is good, not great).
Mike Anderson will be the FB(wont do too much).
Musa Smith is not a quality back, he is a backup or third sting in my book.
The recieving corps is top 12 of the 32 if u ask me. Todd Heap is top 5 among TEs along with Tony Gonzalez, L.J. Smith, Jeremy Shockey, and Antonio Gates.
The Defense is good but will never match the 2000 team and Ray Lewis is getting old too.
I think u think that Baltimore will win it because you are a die-hard Ravens fan.
Every year, I look at the Eagles schedule and think we will go on an undefeated superbowl run until a couple of keystone players get injured or an upset occurs....then.. I have to say the phrase..."wait until next year".

There is a huge barometer for the Ravens in the regular season. If you want to see how they will stack up against the teams that are the projected favorites, wait until the part of their schedule hits that has them playing back-to-back home games against the Indy Colts and the New England Patriots.
People say the defense is getting old, remember too this defense was also the top ranked defense in the league last, yet all of a sudden only one season later it's getting old?
Personally I'm not concerned with the defense even with the departure of Adalius Thomas. I'm not saying the man is replacable, but this system constantly turns out players who step up their game, and the system also turns out pro-bowlers year in and year out.
My concern for the Ravens is if the offense can stay both healthy and productive. The offense sputtered when it need to step up the most against Indy in the playoffs. The Ravens will need a strong running game from McGahee and Anderson. I think it will also be to their benefit for McNair to go deep more often.
The Ravens have big play potential out of their young wide receivers in Mark Clayton and Demetrius Williams, and they can only be aided by pro-bowl receiving TE Todd Heap causing a disruption for the opposing defense.
If the offense can step it up, the Ravens I think will show that they can hang with Patriots and the Colts. The Ravens defenes all ready demonstrated that they can keep Manning off rythem and out of the endzone, then they can with any QB in the league. Oh yeah, the Saints, top offense in the league, undefeated (5-0) at home until the Ravens showed up.
I think the Ravens have a good shot, I still say it's too early to see where they will stack up against the rest of AFC once the actual season begins.

Boller is in no way shape or form even a servicable backup Quarter Back. He should be selling insurance for a living. Let's hope McNair doesn't get injured. McGahee is questionable, but I think he should be okay. I guess Baltimore will make the playoffs, but there are too many teams more likely to go to the Superbowl from the AFC.

definite. even maybe this season. they're honestly a contender. they have a stable protection as we've customary for years now. protection wins championships. Flaaco has shown to be a real QB, i might placed him interior the remarkable 5. Ray Rice shoots off the line like a rocket, he's a beast. because it develop into stated the main significant flaw develop into WR and that they fixed that with Anquan Boldin, and that i hate to declare that one participant makes a collection yet signing him placed their group on an entire new point. So via observing the papers and how they performed final year, they seem stable. i think of in the event that they could make it previous the Colts, they'll win the superbowl this year. pay attention for the Browns this year! Jake Delhomme might have particularly an effect.

Baltimore will go deep into the playoffs, and they have an excellent defense along with a great offense. Going into 2007, they probably have the best defense in the league. They will win the AFC North, and have a first round bye. They get a 9-1 shot at the Super Bowl this year.

with last year's addition of Steve McNair the Ravens got the
Road-loss monkey off their back..
they should be able to get past the loss of Adalius Thomas..he played so many different spots..it's obvious they had players in the spots he vacated during the game..so they'll be fine without him.
McGahee getting to play in Baltimore together with a defense that will get him and the offense the ball..should be second to L.Tominson this season in Offensive production
it'll be fun to see what all shakes out..and their chances are very strong..given the Pats picking up R. Moss means that New England won't even make the playoffs..Indy will experience the post SB slump..and the Chargers look like their primary competition,

I think they can get to the AFC championship, but the only thing that will hurt them is McNair. The reason being his age and injuries. Boller is a big dissapointment and shouldn't be counted on. That "D" will be the best again. They will not be able to be the Pats.

The ravens will definitely go to the playoffs, but their success from there depends on their quarterback. If Mcnair can perform, they will go all the way.
