They need to restructure the playoff system (had Cleveland been on the other side of the bracket in the east they would not have made the finals) and find a way to bring more balance between the two conferences. Fire David Stern and find a commissioner who knows how to apply the rules to the situation. For instance, in the the suns/spurs series Tim Duncan should also have been suspended along with the others considering earlier in the game he left the bench and went on to the court past the 3-point line when a hard foul was committed on a spurs player (or don't suspend anyone except R. Horry). They need to restructure the lottery draft considering 2 teams from the west got pick 1 and 2. Also as a previous poster mentioned, the NBA needs to figure out a better cable contract. The NBA has a lot of work to do.

The NBA wouldn't have had such a problem if they hadn't suspended Amare Stoudemire. Had the Suns made it to the Finals the ratings would've been completely different. The games would've been high scoring and exciting, which translates into better ratings.

Have teams like the San Antonio Spurs not even make the playoffs. That may be in another five years or so, but seriously the big market teams need to start competing again (Knicks, Celtics, Lakers, Rockets,etc.) The Warriors or the Suns in the Finals would of been a balla's dream this year but obviously they fell short. Damn it!!!!

Replace David Stern. His ridiculous changes are hurting the whole league. They need to be done away with that stupid zero tolerence rule. They should stop trying to put on this whole false image parade. NBA cares and and all that rubbish. Players should not get over penalized for fighting.

they could not ever suspend key players in the semifinals like they did for one and they need to change some of their rules because i lost interest after the suns and warriors were out of the playoffs because all the cavs and spurs did was walk the ball up and down the court. BORING

Lower their outrageous ticket prices so more regular people could watch them live.
Then air more games on network instead of cable.
They need to reach out to people who can't afford $500 to take their families to one game but would spend $50 on merchandise several times during the season.

Going back to the new ball would definitley help
Having larger arenas so they could lower ticket prices might help
Less dynasties could also help.
