Hi. I'm looking to wean myself off gmail, and all my other google apps. I like em but it's time to move on. I dont mind paying for stuff either. In particular it needs to be web-based, fast, i need to be able tag stuff, and to be able to search emails just as effectively as i can in gmail.
On the web ppl have recommended webmail.us but they have a 10-account minimum.

I agree with all of you - it's easily the best email client out there - searchable, quick, always up, pop, tagging, etc. But tbph i'm just getting to the point where i think google knows a leetle to much about me and it's time to diversify away.

GMail is a good email server, but if you're getting tired, try and use something simple, or something else entirely!
If you have your own site (such as off of 1&1) then you can make your own email account, simple and easy to use.
Otherwise use Yahho! or something.

Yahoo email is getting better. I don't like their "New Yahoo Mail" but the normal one is a great application. You would now have unlimited storage. Searching is great and it doesn't have the "conversations" that they have in Gmail. You are also able to sort by Subject, From, Date, Email Size.
