i bought a mac but ti doesnt have a phone jack port where you would plug in the phone cord, is there any extension or somethingi can get thtat will have this. like is there an adapter or something where you plug it into the usb and then at the other end there is the phone jack port? i some how need this phone jack port so ne suggestions would be helpful.

i assume you mean a modem not an audio output.

If you get an external modem then you do not have to install anything internally. US Robotics used to be the major brand for eternal modems. Make sure you have the correct connections for a mac

you'll need to buy a modem. I do believe there are USB port modem adapters available so you won't need to open the case.

I'm not a mac guy, but generally you need a 56K model to hook to a phone line for dial-up.
They have 56K USB modems available.

yea u can go to the apple store or apple.com n get a usb modem. no macs come with modems anymore.
