Actually the death toll was around 300,000 in 2005 with an average of 10k human annihilations every month.

So Serpico's facts are a little off. At that rate you will be able to compare this genocide to the jewish holocaust soon, if it does not cease.

It makes me cringe when people say "just 200,000 deaths". Try swallowing that if your city or district/county had this kind of death toll.

A) In a sense, yes, it is a sort of Holocaust, but only about 200,000 have died. Now I do think thats horrible, don't assume me to be callous, but the Holocaust claimed millions.

B) There is alot of attention being paid to it, both by the media, celebrities, and regular people

C) Bush has repeatedly brought it up at the UN, but he gets ignored

D) So don't become a part of the blame America first crowd for this, its not our fault and we are trying to correct it, but

E) China is the main blocker of stopping aid to Darfur, and they also sell weapons and buy oil from Sudan fueling the genocide

F) About 17,000 UN peacekeepers have gone in along with some african defense force people, we'll see how that goes, if you ask me the UN sucks at combat.

G) The US isn't going in because we are tied down with 2 wars right now

H) Time for other countries to pick up the slack, like Britain, China, Russia, and France, the rest of the supposed UN security council who are doing nothing as usual and disregarding their job

I) Another option, Blackwater, a private military company, offered to send their mercenaries in, but its a matter of who is going to foot the big bill.

not many people are paying attention to it as it isent in our news very much
i read about it in one of the broadsheets , the tabloids are virtually ignoring it
this needs to be highlighted and the media have the power to do it

Because they don't have the money, and they don't whine like the Jews and drag the "Holocaust" to the ground.
