Did white men lose respect for white women?

How come so much white men have lost the ability to make a woman feel special? Is it cause they feel lots of their women's sexual morals are too weak?

Peter O, your answer is exactly the attitude of lots of white guys nowadays. You lost the ability to make a woman feel special. I'm not surprised more and more white women are dating interracially.

You're the type of guy who only wants some barbiedoll girls and then complains about how mean and superficial those girls are. You get what you deserve. If you have superficial standards about what kind of girls you like, you will be treated superficially by them.

I think that a lot of White men seem to take white women for granted. White men don't seem like they appreciate their women, and I don't understand this. I don't know why it bothers me, but it does. I guess I don't like to see any woman of any race get disrespected, and that includes white women.

White women sexual morals are no different than other races in the United States. From where I stand I think that White women should lose respect for White men.

White men should have respect for ALL women, whether they are white, black, or oriental. Men used to be raised with ideas of chivalry or just plain old country courtesy. Men should open doors for women, they should help seat women at a table where food is being served, they should offer a seat to women on public transportation [bus or métro] when none is otherwise available, and they should help women with their coat when getting ready to go outside on a cold day.

I suppose we could blame it on movies, television, and the media. A social psychologist would say that we model ourselves after what we see on movies and on television.

A person's morals is their own concern. It is a product of the times. As a student of history, I know that the morals both men and women of the "Roaring Twenties" were low, yet there was greater respect for women in the 1920's. Why do you think that is?

The only way to change it is to do it one person at a time. Sure, it would help a lot of television and the movies would deign to showcase people who respect each other. Respect is a two-way street: when one gives respect, one receives respect in return. MAKE IT HAPPEN.

First of all, why should women be treated special in the first place? What entitles them to special treatment? This was a carry-over from medieval times when chivalry was in vouge because in those days men were powerful and most women were chattel. But not all women, even then. Medieval times were a long time ago. To answer your question, women themselves made men act differently. They want to be equal. To do "men's" jobs; like police, soldier; fireman; politician. They want their rights (these so called rights have gone so far that now men are the victims). So if women are equal and can do the same jobs and have the same rights, why should men treat them special? This is the problem with women. They are narcissistic and think they are "special". They want it both ways and even more than both ways. It is an extreme sense of entitlement and grandiosity. Men have made it worse by putting women on a pedestal and being bossed by them. Women think this is because they are special. The men who do this think it is because women deserve it. But they are both deluded because if the men were honest, it is about that thing between the woman's legs. Also many men need their mommy (as many women have complained through the decades). It all starts in childhood when girls are told how pretty they are and they manipulate dolls which later turns into the manipulation of people. Fusses are made about them. They tease their brothers and are protected but G-d help the brother who retaliates. Their mothers tell them how bad men are and how to behave to get everything they want. They stick together over brothers, sons, husbands, boyfriends, fathers, etc, etc. Finally, white men treat women differently because many women have made white men the evil doers of all that is wrong with society. They are not loyal to their white men. Many white women have no minds of their own and little morals.They are swayed here and there by all kinds of people. For awhile their man might be able to have the stronger influence on them, but eventually, sooner or later he will lose. They constantly protect and align themselves with non-whites and often partner up sexually with non-white men. Many women are perverse and will align themselves with anyone and everyone with whom their man may dis-approve and as soon as the relationship seems to be ending, who do they go with but the friend or brother of the man. So tell me, why should white men treat them special? Women should be grateful for a white man who cares and is willing to be a PARTNER with them. Then they should treat each other special.

I guess this depends upon your social theory. I believe it's learned from media and such. Women are portrayed as objects, therefore do not deserve respect.

When the constitution was written, they needed a way to keep slaves but still maintain "all men created equal." Therefore, they forced themselves to believe that Africans were sub-human. Today this still exists even with women. The rationale for the slaves was the Europeaner's industry and such. Africa did not have this, therefore were not as smart. In essense, all of Europe took credit for a handful of people's genius. Stupid really.

So maybe the same holds true with women. Because of standards men set, like benchpressing X lbs or blah blah blah, women are substandard and do not deserve to be treated as human.

I believe you hit it on the nose. People [men, women and children,] seem to treat people only about as well as they have to. Respect is earned, it is not free. To be treated with respect, one must behave in a manner that is deemed respectable by the beholder.
