I am used to windows but i hear Mac is ok also. I would buy a Mac computer and put Windows XP or Vista. Would that be a bad thing to do?

why would that be a bad thing? in fact I would say- go for it.

mac is definitely good. nice user interface and is different from windows. i have been using windows all my life. and using a mac ones in a while is a nice change.

also installing windows on a mac is a good idea. you get the best of both worlds.

some softwares work on windows only and some on mac. you can use both. for example not everyone has an ipod. i have a sansa. but if love a mac i would buy it and install windows so that i can properly sync with my sansa.

so i would say buying a mac is a good thing and installing windows will give you an overall advantage. you wont be stuck with not being able to work with some kind of a software

The easier way to do it would be to buy a Mac. There is a very popular widely available program to run windows within the mac.
Forget the name - run of the mill
The newer macs are intel based and it is a game and a challenge to put windows on those macs or side by side with windows.
It is a bit of a challenge
Take easier way out

Awsome idea...while you are at it sign up for a Spanish class taught by a professor who speaks German only. Get a good bargain on a pair shoes because they are both for the left foot. Sorry for the sarcasms, but that was a really off the wall question. I didn't even get into the fact that all the free-bee software that comes with the computer will not work if you change the operating system.

If you're not going to use Mac OS X, then don't buy a Mac. If you're going to use both mac OS X and Windows, then mac is the way to go.

yes, you would be extremely stupid
why spend tons of money on a mac only to ditch the OS, when you could spend half that and get a system that starts out windows-based
its just idiotic, i think
