I purchased a new sink faucet to repace my old one with. My old sink had a handle for hot, and cold. It also had a sprayer and of course the faucet itself. The new faucet I purchased didn't come with a sprayer (because I thought I didn't need to get one since I already had one). The new sink faucet set has a white piece of plastic at the bottom of the faucet portion itself, so I'm not sure if the sprayer I had will connect to it.... Do you know if it will? Also can you give me a step by step as to how to replace the faucet? Thanks.

If you see a threaded opening under the center of the faucet base then most likely your old sprayer hose will attach there. If there's no threaded opening then the faucet you bought isn't made for a sprayer, not all faucets are. To replace your old faucet, the first thing to do is to remove the old faucet. Shut off the water, either at two separate little valves under the sink or at the main house supply valve. Get some towels for rags, as you will most certainly spill some water and need to mop it up when you disconnect the water lines from the faucet. This is usually the toughest part of a replacement job, as the old faucets get corroded and rusted and sometimes the nuts that hold them on are extremely hard to turn while you're laying on your back twisted around the drain pipes, and maybe a garbage disposal. Once you have the old faucet out, clean the top of the sink where the new faucet will set and install the new faucet in reverse of how the old one came out. It's not rocket science but it can be harder than you'd think it should be. Good luck
