It's been a week now. They are still getting used to things and are terrified of me. (They were rescued from a nasty pet store.) I have them in a natural habitat, so it's possible they're eating some buggies that I haven't seen. They won't eat anything I offer them though: meal worms, earth worms, chopped veggies, strawberries, or canned cat food. Any suggestions? Should I be concerned or give it more time?

I would start with only leafy greens. My new tortoises would only eat fruits because that was all they ate. I had to wait it out until they ate the greens. It took a month until I got them to seriously eat the greens. Now they eat greens as soon as i feed them. They now know they only get fruits and protein occasionally.

Double check your temps (70's) and humidity (Eastern Box- 80%+, others 70% or so), cut back on meal worms, add some dark leafy greens, and see how things go.

Some settling-in time is common, but after about a week, we would start to wonder about illness or complications.

you should give him more time to get used his habitat. he might not trust you yet. If things don't get better go back to the pet shop and ask them a way or a strategey to feed your turtle.
