I cant seem to get them off of me.

This works for house flies too: Take clear sandwich bags, like ziplock baggies, and fill them partially with water, then hang them around the area you want flies to stay away from, like all around a porch awning, about 6 inches apart. It looks stupid and sounds weird but it works. Because of the shape or their eyes the bags of water confuse and disorient them and they steer clear. Not 100% but at least a good 80-90% effective.

I know they're disgusting but my grandfather got a really good deal on those sticky fly paper rolls from Dollar General. The majority of them he got probably within the first 3-4 days. By the next week, they were hard to find (the flies that is).

Maybe burning those mosquito repellant candles may help too.
