this is important question because everyone says the comebacks i say are lame so how do i make them better? or do you think its better for me to not say anything at all or would being quiet make me look dumb? help!!

Like the old saying says "If you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all." Saying somethng dumb is alot worse than staying quiet. If you ignore people, they will first be angry but then they'll forget about you and pick on someone else.

WEll if you are being "called" out you cant just stand there and take it you need to stand up for yourself....I say its not what you say but the way you say it...I had a "nerdy"friend who was picked on alot but he had some of the funniest comeback material ever so it was cool cause it made everyone laugh and another friend that would belittle you with comebacks...really good or really funny....take your pick....anything other than that would be lame.

If you can`t think of anything just laugh or give the other person a look as if you don`t care.
Or say something embarassing to the other person that only a few people know about. Use their own weaknesses against them =D

Don't worry so much....if you try to please everybody it will drive you nuts! Say what you really feel...if its nothing, thats fine too. People will trust you more if you are for real. Sometimes people have such cool comebacks and just talk all the time.....but other people do not trust them because they might make them look bad. Its like dating somebody who looks too good....you never know if you can really trust them because they are too stuck on themselves. Best advice I can give you if you want people to talk more to you is to get them to talk about themselves...most people love to.

Old saying, it is better to remain silent and be thought stupid then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
On the other hand taking criticism constructively and thinking about/practicing your insults works also.
