I need to type a fractional notion for the ratio of 6.3 to 1.7

The ratio written as a fraction would be:
6.3 / 1.7
= 63 / 17.
You normally write a fraction as one integer over another.
As 17 is a prime number, this fraction cannot be reduced to smaller integers, and is in what is called its lowest terms.

Would it written as 6 3/10 : 1 7/10 ?? I could always do fractions with no problems but ratios were something different. LOL

Not sure what you mean 6.3 divided by 1.7 is often typed as 6.3/1.7 (forward slash)
