If her ISP, is in Los Angeles and this lady is in an internet cafe in London, when she uses the internet her email will show her real IP address as being in Los Angeles.
If she is a resident of London, England, then her ISP, provider will give her an IP address for London.
And there is always the possibility that she could be using a "proxy", server out of Los Angeles.
If you use your "Options", in your email, open them and find mail options and check off, "Full Header", then go back and re-open the email and the entire full header will show all the ports/servers that her email passed through.

No it's not possible, every computer has it's own ip address and they are specific to that pc, it's like a phone number to just your computer.
However, it is possible to route a connection through another place if she knows alot about computers.
If you have the program to run ip's keep going further into it, you will find out if it's being routed.
An ip can be traced right to the actual address the computer is in if you have the right software and know how to use it.
If you traced it through her yahoo you probably got yahoo's IP because that's where their server is.

Your ISP matters your IP handle. and the majority have a dynamic IP handle that their ISP differences each 24 hours or so. extraordinarily ineffective to anybody. interior the u . s ., the only thank you to get an ISP to launch own tips (call, telephone, handle and so on.) some specific IP handle is with a courtroom Order. And courtroom Orders are oftentimes purely given out contained while it comes to suspected extreme offender interest. All somebody can be certain from an IP handle is the final geographic region. perhaps narrow all of it the way down to a minimum of one in a million people.

Well, I recently visited a well-known site that claims the ability to track IPs, and it missed my physical address by more than 800 miles. So these things can be very flawed.

I have a astronomy program that uses the
address of your Internet provider as your base
address. This is so you can see the stars as they
would actually appear at your house. I had to
change it to my physical location. The location
given was about 300 miles to the east of my
home.
