Guy, its to how big ure pics are. Remember, 1GB its 1,024MB. So if you have pics of 2MB, you can hold up to 512 pics... Its up to u! And songs the same. Its according to how the size is. I suggest get SanDisk because they are the best! GL!

There is no way to do that calculation, pictures are all different sizes as are songs and videos.
1 gig is a good size for a memory stick, it will hold alot.
If you go into your explorer and add up how much memory is used for a bunch of files that you already have until you get to a gig that will give you an idea because you know what they are.

The stick would hold approx 1000mb of data
Songs approx 250 at 128 bitrate (about 4mb per song)
Videos take up a lot more memory but it depends on the length and quality so cant be estimated.
Pictures again depends on the pixel size but I wouldnt expect many pictures would be over 1mb each.

thousands of pictures, or like 100-200 songs, or on the video it really depends on a lot of factors so i would probably say like 30 - 45 minutes of something, but these figures are really rough estimates, seeing that no two files have the same size/format different things use more or less space, and the formatting room for the memory stick is also a factor

pictures ... you are looking at a max of 1.3 mbs a piece ... so about 999 ... songs ... you are looking at a max of id say 4.9 mbs a piece ... so around 150 to 350 songs just think of it this way ... you can get about 140 songs on a data CD in MP3 format ... depending on your video size depends on how many you can put on there ... a normal music video is about 40 mbs ... on average in the MPEG format ... so a few of them will max it out ... hope the figures helped ... a gig is 1,000 mbs ... relatively speaking ...

A memory stick, or RAM (Random Access Memory) as it is called does not "store" data. Data is stored on your hard drive.

1 gigabyte... let's see... that's 1,000 megabytes, 1,000,000 kilobytes, 1,000,000,000 bytes. In other words, if you use this thing up with music, I have no idea where you'll keep those CD cases
