Roberts was definitely safe. Watch the slow-motion replay on the DVD "Faith Rewarded" or the 2004 World Series DVD.

It was a very difficult call to make for The umpire.The end off the 7th game in the ALCS , SO MUCH PRESSURE.The umpire was really tired and I don't think neither of us would make the right call.I think that he was out, but what do I know...
PS:This is a moment that my friend mentioned to a Boston resident, when he was bugging him about the broken curse.

posada definitly did his job. the throw beat him there. I think he was safe, but posada did everything he could do, the catch and tag could have been better.

He was safe. The throw might have beaten him there, but the tag didn't get him until Roberts already touched the bag.

good throw but Roberts' hand was on the bag when Jeter did the sweep tag. plus u can't change it now anyway
