With privilege --- control the laws of king and the laws of god.
With wealth, privilege, and law --- control information.
With information --- control people.
With control of people --- you control power and the cycle is complete.

Throughout history, all rulers have stayed in power by the use of violence. They have used whatever force they have deemed was necessary to remove any direct threat to their power base.
