Why is the only holocaust survivor and over 90% of jews in congress Democrats?

Question

Congressman Tom Lantos is the only Holocaust survivor ever to serve in the U.S. Congress. An American by choice, he was born in Budapest, Hungary, on February 1, 1928. His family were teachers - one uncle was a professor at the University of Budapest and his grandmother was principal of a Gymnazium (High School).

That's easy, the Republicans' God is Money. Jews learned early on that money is the root of all evil. Moses destroyed the first set of 10 commandment tablets at Mt Sinai because the Jewish people started to worship the Golden Calf in his absence.

More recently, it was Harry Truman, a Democrat, who supported the creation of the State of Israel. It was the Republican-led State Department that opposed the creation of a Jewish State. It was also a Republican, Richard Nixon, who invented the "Southern Strategy" of recruiting the Southern racist vote to the Republican Party thus making the Republican Party even less hospitable to Jews.

Arlen Specter and Norm Coleman love money and power far more than they love freedom and dignity. Norm Coleman started as Democrat and switched sides. Arlen Specter was an aide to J Edward Hoover and made his name during the Joe McCarthy Communist witch-hunt.

Jews, who were hounded and persecuted for almost 2,000 years are liberal in nature only because they themselves want to be tolerated by others. The Jewish Religious Right votes Republican because they are insensitive to whether others tolerate them since they themselves are intolerant of others. They share the same racist and bigoted values of the Christian Right. The Neoconservative movement originating from the University of Chicago is equally intolerant of others and therefore share common goals and values of the Christian Right and the Jewish Religious Right. These Neoconservatives are very much in favor by George W Bush and the current Israeli government.

Sadly, bullies are not easily stopped unless there is a concerted effort by the silent majority of citizens.

It's because Jews believe in the separation of church and state, having endured a few millennia of persecution under state religions. Jews understand the consequences of living in a society whose ruling faction doesn't respect minorities.

It's also because Jews believe strongly in the obligation to help those less fortunate. A reason that Jewish communities survived through centuries of persecution was that they were communities. The affluent and powerful were still part of the community and shared its struggles - and they made donations to charity that were in a real sense taxes. The wealthy who failed to give charity faced ostracism and sometimes even excommunication.

it's always been a mystery to me considering that libs and Dem's both seem to be against Israel and the Jews. I guess it could be a case of "keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer", they're pretty smart and they are survivors after all.
