A dropped third strike and the baserunner reaching would probably indicate an error and a baserunner reaching on an error ends a perfect game.

A perfect game is generally credited to the pitcher. But it takes a team's effort to get the perfect game. If any batter reaches first base because of a dropped ball/error, walk, etc. the status of the game goes from perfect to no hitter.

Babe Ruth walked the first batter while pitching for the Boston Red Sox and was ejected for arguing. The relief pitcher got the second batter to hit into a double-play and then retired the next 25 batters. He got 27 outs in only 26 batters, but it was still not a perfect game. As was stated, 27 up and 27 down, one by one.

No. A perfect game means that no runners reach base in ANY fashion. Even an error takes away a perfect game.

no because the dropped 3rd strike counts as a K but not an out if he reached first safely. and therefore there woudl be a base runner who could steal to third and score on a sac fly....

Good question!
I would imagine so due to the fact that the batter was retired but I am not 100%!
That is the best question I have heard in a while

No.

Still a no-hitter, but not a perfect game.

PG == NO baserunners whatsoever. Deal.
