Whats fair and whats not fair are creations of mankind, as you are a creation of your parents! If one does not like what social class they have been born into, they need to take that up with their parents!

Fair? To whom do we appeal the "fairness" of it all? Sure, it's awful that some people are born into abject poverty with no chance to better themselves. For that matter, it's unfair that some people are born with higher IQs, better physical ability, better health, better looks, etc.
I think it is a better use of our time and energy to ask "what can we, as a society, do to improve the living conditions of those born into underclasses?" The answer to THAT question might produce some useful information.

Perhaps not, but I think it's even more unfair that people choose not to better themselves and use their birth or parentage as an excuse. Take Paris Hilton! Born to wealth, but what kind of person is she?
No matter if you're rich or poor, you make your choices in this life, and can choose to change your social class if you wish. In America in any case. It all depends on how much effort you're willing to put into it.

no. but being born into a low social class will only limit your potential for success if you let it. my older brother and i both grew up very poor but he now has a 6 year degree and is making a ton of money. people who have worked for what they have often are much more enjoyable people to be around anyway. i mean, who wants to hang out with some spoiled little brat that has had everything handed to them since they were born?

Some thing in life are just not fair, that's how it is.
Is it fair that some are born into poverty, some with physical disabilities, some born addicted to substances because of their mother's use, no.

Nothing in life is guaranteed to be fair. Everyone can change what they don't like about their lives, it is a matter of having the drive to actually do something, rather than sitting and talking about it.

The seeds of communism.
Life is unfair. You are far more fortunate that a good portion of people living on this planet. We use computers and internet connections. You are the one in the higher social class.
