Frostwire can be gotten for free at frostwire.com have used it for 2 years no problems. Make sure when downloading you do not download from places that state track 1 etc although they have the most hits that is where the viruses usually hang out at.

You're using Bitcomet and Azureus? Do you have a knowledge of torrents at all or are you just using their clients? Kelly Clarkson is easily found via torrents. Get rid of bitcomet and Azureus and go with Bitlord. As an avid downloader I find that to be the best on my computers RAM. you need good sites to download the torrents form. NEVER use the built in search in the torrent downloader. go to isohunt.com and mininova.org
search for what you want! now this is the important part...arrange the search results by seeds and leeches (sd/lch)(S/L). the torrent with the most seeds and leeches downloads the fastest.

Torrents do not generally have viruses. it's very rare that they will. that's why it's my prefered means of downloading. don't have to worry about having to reformat your computer.

AND You can also download the Upgraded version of Limewire off of torrents. It's safer than the other versions. I use it when i can't find a song on torrents that i really want.

trust me when i say, there is no better way.

Go to Wal-Mart. Get CD, check out, put on comp. Guaranteed spy ware/virus free.
There is no guaranteed way to prevent spy ware/viruses from infecting your computer if you download it off the Internet with a P2P or Bit Torrent client.
BTW: it is illegal. I tell everyone this so don't feel like I am singling you out because I am not. It is a big fat fine for those who are caught. Not to mention the felony charge that goes on your record. Say good bye to my job if I was convicted of a felony.

Utorrent is tops at the moment, make sure to configure correctly and only download from a good site such as demonoid.com, you will have to register, these are not open to often, so check the site regularly, or try to get an invite.

When download is finished always scan with avg or similar first, and even after opening if safe, run adaware to make sure.

Not much is 100% safe if its free.

Good luck

Soulseek is the best. Period. It's based around music only so you don't end up downloading tons of other virus infected files. Be careful though, the RIAA does in fact track people who download a ton of music. They contact your Internet Service Provider and turn your internet off if you download an unusually large amount of free music. It happened to my friend and he just told them it was his cousin using his computer, but they said they will do a 3 strikes rule. Third time offense and they will not re-instate his internet connection. There are sites currently up that are fake, that offer free software or music, just to catch you downloading it illegally. So just be careful and don't go too crazy getting free music. Support the artists you really like. I still buy CD's for my favorite bands.

All p2p software sucks in some way or another. If you want very cheap cds Ebay is pretty much the best option, I've bought many chart cds that people just didnt really like for 99p.

The RIAA also pollute p2p networks with bad files that can blow your speakers so be careful
