Yes, hand written letters mean much more & have more fun. You can draw, leave a kiss mark etc.
We wrote to each other once every 4 days and last for 1 year. Why 4 days? Just because postal time required 4 days. If could shorten the postal time, we would have written more frequently :)

None, at least since my grandmother passed away about a year ago. Everyone I know and would communicate with is online, so this is much faster and efficient. Occasionally I receive hand written cards, especially at Christmas.

When I was a kid, I had about 20 pen pals, so I was a huge fan of snail mail! I wonder if kids do that anymore, or has pen pal-ing gone way of the dinosaur? Hmmm, I think I have a Yahoo question to submit...

To me a letter is only a letter if it is hand written or typed and posted in an envelop. That is also the definition of a letter at law. If you get an email, it is an electronic message. The evidence can be used in a court case. Emails are never classed as letters. Cheers!!!

I haven't received a hand written letter in donkeys!

I recently came across some written by my late grandfather. I couldn't bring myself to read them as just seeing his writing brought a lump to my throat.

There is something lovely and personal about written letters, but i can't say that i truly miss them. I like the ease and speed of email & text.

Up to now this year I have had 7 hand written letters all very short. Received loads of letters typed and they were pages long. I must admit I tend to send typed ones now myself.

I also correspond with friends via email and messenger.

A year? I don't know but I usually get about 5 a week. I love pen-palling, I have about 8 girls/ladies I write to. They are mostly from the UK but a few from USA and Russia. I love getting a hand written letter. I highly suggest pen-palling, it's a great way to get to know other people and it's so exciting when the postman brings me a letter.

Still get birthday cards and Christmas cards and the odd holiday card.
I still send post cards when I'm away.
Couldn't tell you the last time I got a letter that wasn't a bill.
