Lightning Striking A Lake... (Males Only)?

If you're relieving yourself in say a stream or a lake, and lightning decides to test the waters of this very lake or stream... are you ******?

No, they had something similar on Mythbusters once, where they asked if you could get electrocuted by peeing on the power source for the subway. They used strobe lights, and a special camera, and determined that it's not a steady stream, but a series of drops, and could not conduct a current. However, if you feel like trying it out, don't quote me on that, because I waive any responsibility!

haha... I pee in lakes all the time and its never hap pend to me...

But to answer your question, it would depend on how big the lake was and how close you where to the lightning strike. You would probably be fine in a large lake.This is because when lighting strikes a body of water, the current travels equally in all directions. It will likely have dissipated by the time it reaches your little pee pee. But I wouldn't recommend peeing in a swimming pool during a thunderstorm.

Please don't pee in lakes.

Chances are that nothing will happen to you but urine is an electrolyte so you might be zapped if the current is carried though the lake and through your urine.

The odds are ridiculously unlikely. Lighting is most likely going to hit something higher than a lake like a tree or a bush or a building.

Also, don't pee on electric fences.

idk, it depends on if the lake is grounded. The stream of pee would be able to conduct electricity because my high school science teacher told my class there was a guy working on some elctrical wires but the machine that got him up there broke, and he hung onto the wire to go to the bathroom and he got smoked. yeah i wouldn't try it.
