For what reason? You're not forced to go. If you feel prom is lame, by all means, don't go. On prom night, you could get together with your friends, rent a limo and go to a nice place for dinner followed by a movie, Dave & Busters or bowling. It would probably be cheaper than the cost of a prom dress.Having a good time with your friends always makes for a happy memory.

the "prom" is usually something everyone talks about even in their rocking chair. I don't understand why you would want to boycott that. Go, have some fun, leave early if you have to, but, get there.

Eh, depends which one. I skipped the Junior prom and went out with friends. I went to the Senior prom just to say I went to one. It was very boring and a waste of money.

I do. Prom is overrated. Stay home and relax. 90% of the world's kids never go to prom. It's just an American/Canadian thing.
