No. But with a little bit of luck, as they say, and some mental effort, it can get better in some particular ways to make up for the ways it gets worse. One may lose mobility, and gain more opportunity to contemplate - or simply to lie down with a good excuse not to do what you don't want to do. It may be a bit like falling down stairs, but you get a chance to rest on each step.

No life doesn't always get better. Some end up in tragedies and some people are just beyond Lucky and fortunate! But we shouldn't be expecting anything in life except for the better and the worse and still we just have to live with it. I say the best thing is to actually do as much good as you can and live your life with acceptance for any situation coming your way. Just by thinking that some people out there are suffering much more than you do, and they're still hanging on the ropes of hope and that should be enough to keep you going!
Nice question, Thank you :-)

Better is an interesting word. "Better" really relies on perspective. Perspective is determined by both mental attitude and how well we learn (and to a certain extent WHAT we learn).

Always... there is a dangerous word. It's on the same scale of regret as NEVER.

So... my synthesis is this: BETTER is in how we look at LIFE. More than anything else, I think our attitudes towards things determine the outcomes we choose to accept as possibilities. We can choose to see all things in life as BETTER... if we look at the learning and wisdom we gain from them, and not the disappointments and pain. It's really choice. We may not be able to determine and control what happens to us, but we can determine how we deal with these things. I choose to believe that yes, life does always get better.

no not always . there is many beautiful thinks that we lose and they became from the past and we won't be able to get them again whatever we did ...life is not getting better at least not in our time even if it seems like it does in the end we discover that we are running away from our mistake to fall in some others we learn but there is always more to learn and more mistake to do and more pain to feel ..but that doesn't mean that life is not getting better at all .cos while there is life there is hope

I can't do better than the answers of "truith." & "shahbarak." Things just change. Phase out, phase in, phase out...things get replaced, (people get replaced!) Seems always to be an up side to a down side. Sometimes I feel like I've gotten better, (where's the danged underlining)? Maybe I could say that life gets richer?

Yes!

Especially if you have had an enormously terrible time of it!
It is the law of Nature that things cannot remain the same. They will get better, and worse and better again. Then as you gain wisdom, you will find that those times you thought were the worst when they happened, were some of the Best times!

Bless

The truth is you just never, never know what is in store for you or what's around the corner. There is so much in life that we can not control or accurately predict. If we make informed choices for ourselves, commit to learning from mistakes, try and see the cup as half full most of the time, life seems nicer anyway...even when it's not.

Life gets worse when you attempt to live by the standards of others -- the shoulds. Life improves and gets better when you ignore those should and so as you truly would like to be doing.

At every single second. You know why? Because when you look back...you have at least one more memory than you had previously. Be that memory a good one, a sad one, a happy one or a bad one. It's urs to keep and its ur experience. You have learned something from that memory. So, yes...Life does getter Better at always because you always gain from what you have lost. You gain...

Memories.
Experience.
Knowledge.
But most of all...Understanding.

enki my friend, life is life. I don't think in terms of "better," as in perhaps--it was better in the past, it's better now, it will be better. It's virtually the same. I'm remembering a quote, although I don't think it's a perfect analogy to you question, but seems to express what I'm trying to say. (I'm "trying" to remember!)...."No psychic value can disappear without being replaced by another of equivalent intensity"--if I got it right. I think it fits if you take out the "psychic." I think that "worse" & "better" shuffle around in life like playing musical chairs.
