I have noticed that too. I have seen people answer that the question was too long to read. I can't figure out why they are on here if they don't like to read.
I also have noticed that when someone gives all the pertinent information while asking for an opinion, people often answer, "that can't be all there is to it, something else must have happened." Well of course other things have happened, we weren't born yesterday, there is always history, however I believe most of us give all the information necessary.

I know! I write alot and when I tell a story I want to explain all the facts and things like that. I hate when I run out of space. When I do use up all 1000 characters I get very little responses because people are too lazy to read. I think people have become lazy all together and Y!A understands that.

Yeah, it's all about people with either no patience, but yet they want the whole story. Then they tell you that, so it's hard to please everyone, and why should you? Just give more info as it is asked and problem solved! Ignore the negative people, they're always crabby!

We are here to answer questions, not to listen to a whole entire sad story. All you need to do is give the basic problem.

Well sometimes it takes more than 1000 characters to get the point across...so I think its annoying as hekk when you cant finish your problem and then answerers give you flack about it!

Try posting a cat cacciatore recipe. It's very hard to work within these limitations.

If I wanted to read a novel, I'd open a book. In other words, keep it short as possible, or it will be skipped over.
