Yes I think so, unfortunately these days scary religious fundamentalists take religious texts literally to the point where they will deny scientific results if they don't correspond to their interpretation of the misogynist, xenophobic, historically/geographically/physically/socially suspect nonsense that passes for fact in these people's narrow minds.

No.

The question, “Was God invented by man to explain the unexplained?” was thought up by someone who are already convinced themselves there is no God, before they examined the evidence whether that shows if God truly does exist.

Its very much like the zealous prosecutor, who is convinced the defendant is guilty. He ignores any evidence that shows innocence, and pursues any evidence that appears to help him with his already drawn conclusion.

What one should do, is first look at the evidence, then
draw a conclusion, not the other way around.

Is it possible that vastly complex systems, such as the brain, the eyes, etc., could have developed all by themselves?

The evidence is all around us, we humans are simply not
capable of creating the vast beauty, as well as the most bewildering complexity of systems .

How does one explain where and how this.complexity all started? Did it start from nothing, and all of a sudden appear? That doesn't seem possible.

When ever one takes a look back at the beginning of time,
those who are already convinced there is no God, allow themselves to be content with the thought they need not have to explain where and how life all started. All they have concluded, it didn't start from some god.

I can not be content with that answer. The true and only answer is, there must be a being beyond our understanding ,that is more powerful than we can even imagine to create all that we see around us.

Those who just allow themselves to ignore life's "unanswerable questions" , and there are many,. are the zealous prosecutors who have closed their minds an already convinced themselves there is no life beyond what we can see with our eyes. They refuse to look at any evidence that are contrary of their beliefs.

Do you honestly believe that at the beginning of time us humans could simply "invent" God? And that throughout all this time, the bible was written based on a lie? That Jesus never preformed such miracles through God? Even though there is proof of it? And did you know, that anyone who has set out to prove the bible wrong, ended up converting to christianity? God is very much real, he has provided us with limitless proof. Those who don't believe, are those who choose not to believe. God is the unexplainable, not what was invented to cover the unexplainable up.

There are several stories about Gods and Sons of gods. Some are supposed to be from other times and galaxies and some were made Gods by the priesthood to give power to the rulers of a country. History is full of forgotten Gods and new ones are given powers that the old ones lacked to impress the people and give the priest the control of of the people as they became the middle man between them.

The whole concept of gods and the worship of them was invented because human beings need to know where we came from, why we are here and where we are going. Put another way, people can't imagine what it's like to be dead.
All that makes sense, if humanity was still living in the Bronze Age. What is surprising is that people are still clinging to that mythology in the 21st century.

Yes, I think god and heaven and hell were invented by people in ancient times to control people. After all, if people believed that if they were bad, they would burn in hell for eternity, then they would try harder to be good. This was even before Jesus time.
Religion has caused more war and hate than anything else in the world. Everyone thinks THEIR religion is the right one and everyone else is wrong, therefore they are evil and will burn in hell. This is why I stay away from religion all together.

Yes and No. Yes because atleast major religions of the world speaks about a point of time where God himself or his messenger has arrived. And he gives a speech to tell the world how to live.We know with various sources that the man they framed as God was just a normal person but had beautiful heart and had understood need of the hour.No one called himself God because it might have showed to the future generations that the person was trying to gain popularity. In my view they were very good, intelligent & lovely persons. And NO because man always had something in his heart from it's birth on earth. He knew that he had been made specifically and not by chance. So the fact is the hunt for God is still on.Everyone has his own god.For me scientifically speaking TIME IS GOD.And for others to find God there is only one way.To implement the below given few principles in your life.I can tell u that if you follow them with devotion you would find God.

1)See and observe yourself through out the day that you do not hurt anyone.
2)S.................................................................................. you help the person who comes to you for help whether you like him/her or not.
3)S................................................................................... you feel in your heart for grief's of others and if you do not then try to think yourself in their pai of shoes.

In short, you need to love others that everyone adores you for your extremely good nature. While that happens you should be honest in your effort and expect no gifts because the happiness you get by doing this is itself a big gift.

You used the word "invented" and the word is more like dreamed. Where there is uncertainty there is imagination. Everyday of our lives we look at living beings small and large from microscopic organisms to whales. And dream if it is possible for me to be, there must be a living being larger than myself. Like the blind organisms whom can not see me, I am a small microscopic organism of a greater being. We dream the greatest host to be like ourselves, it is hard for alot of people to dream much else.

Yes. god(s) only exist in one's head and therefore not in reality.

People believe in pop organized religions do so despite, and in spite of, evidence to the contrary. People who want to believe will find a way to validate their "feeling" of god(s) through any number of apparent rationalizations (fear of the unknown, inferiority complex, exclusive membership to a club, or simply 'cause the bible says so). For those who have faith tangible, independent evidence of god(s) is precluded. Faith isn't based on tangible, independent arising evidence. From what I've gathered of those who belong to pop organised religion and have faith in it, say they need not have proof. Thus their faith isn't grounded in reality -- just the reality in their heads.

Again faith in god(s) is primarily sought after for social and psychological comfort, at least for those not willing to study reality sincerely.
