"Throughout civilisation people have tried to make things better and we're suddenly saying this is a way we won't try and make things better, and that seems almost against human nature,"

I am generally in favor, but it all depends on who is doing it and what for. I have no problem with cloning organs but an entire person raises many issues.

depends on what it's for... I can see cloning an organ for a transplant, but cloning a human to me is immoral...

Clone whole humans? - No. Too many ethical issues.
Clone organs for transplant to reduce or eliminate rejections and anti rejection drugs? - Absolutely.

Depends what it is for.
Clone someone just to be an organ donor is wrong.
If you clone someone just to have a copy of someone (and it will be an imperfect copy); that is just futile and poinless.
Clone organs to repair someone, then it is OK.

yes and it is a shame for a human race that a relegious reason is used to address an issue that should not be questioned by ethics. i have taken a course in bioethics, and it is the benifit of society that leads a new technology for acceptance.
