Who is upset about the daytime emmy's this year?

For the past 2 years now, days of our lives and passions have not gotten any nominations for its actors! can anyone tell me why? i believe they have some great ones that didnt get acknowledged.

I understand why passions is the underdog and all. But Lindsey hartley is amazing on passions. Also, Allison sweeney should have been regognized.

Even though I said I wasn't going to watch this year (Bree Williamson, Nancy Lee Grahn, Trevor St John were robbed of a nomination!!!!), I found myself DVRing it and watching it. I was happy that Rick Hearst won (GH, Ric), and I was crying when Genie Francis (GH, Laura) finally got her emmy...she waited 31 years!! Almost like Susan Lucci, without the numerous nominations. Anyway, I didn't much care for most of the show. I think that certain categories have wayyyy too many nominees from the same show, and I don't see it as being all to fair. I understand that some shows have the talent pool stacked, but I still see it as unfair..because they over look shows like DOOL. I mean DOOL has some great talents on there, and they never get recognized. I was disappointed that OLTL didn't win any awards...that show was pretty good last year with Kevin/Kelly and the tornado...Todd's execution...

Hoping next year its more fair, and a better show.

P.S. I wish they would have mentioned the people on the soaps that passed away this year. Unless I missed it, I don't think they did.

I'm thinking it's more about the writing than the actors. If actors are given sub par material they can't always make it look good.From the little that I've seen of DOOL in the past few years a lot of characters have been replaced or left. This certainly doesn't help with getting an award at Emmy time.No offense but 89% of the actors on YR are highly trained professionals with years of experience behind them.When you compare that with the acting on Passions and it's many younger less experienced actors it explains a lot.( A soap watcher for over 40 years!)

I am so upset that General Hospital was not nominated for Best Drama. GH has more drama than any other soap, it's ridiculous. Even though I love GH I don't think Genie Francis(Laura) should have been nominated for Best Lead Actress, she was only back on the show for a few weeks. I can't believe Bree Williamson(Jess/Tess on OLTL) wasn't nominated for anything. She's an amazing actress, one of the best there is.

I am a fan of DOOL,but I can understand why their actors get no nominations.DOOL has too many characters and story lines going at once,it's hard to form an attachment to anyone on this show.As for Passions,they are still considered the under dog compared to the other soaps.

Apparently DOOL and P are not worthy of an Emmy. Passions doesn't have a shot.

I agree with you!! I think that Sami from Days should have at least been recognized. She's the best character on that show right now. It seemed like the only soaps that got recognized were those that were on CBS.

I didn't get a chance to watch it , hopefully there will be a repeat of it at a later date.
A friend said "Young and Restless " won , i'm glad about that , i love that soap.
