Is there any programs out there that will change router MAC address and then reboot the router/modem? This would be great because when I change it(I do often) I have to disconnect the modem and the router.....thats too much work.

You can so change your software-based MAC address...it isn't hardwired like you say.....and it is a trick that I have found to work with sites that block you....so stop saying its not possible because it is forced to be changed...by me

mac addresses are supposed to be UNIQUE on any subnet.

that means you can get away with any mac address that is not connected to your net. Some routers enable you to change it's mac address. Others don't.

Sites don't block by mac address.... routers do! And few routers use that feature.

Each router is done differently, but most use http to configure them, you could write a custom program for your hack... but I doubt you'll find a program already written.

search the net for "program change 'mac address' ". You may find one!

You can never ever change a MAC address, its like a social number, once you have it its for life. Maybe you are referring to the IP address. you can change or refresh a new IP by:

click on start
click on Run
type cmd
at command prompt type ipconfig /release
wait for 1-2 mins
on next line type ipconfig /renew

if you are constantly changing your MAC you have no idea what you are doing with a computer. there is no viable reason to have to do that on a regular basis.
