i studied genetic engineering, believe it or not, this field is very advanced even within the last few years, and i can say that it is possible in the future but with a different scenario. which means that the virus attacks the live tissue, for instance before death. meaning that the host is already infected before death. and then after the brain or heart stops, this triggers the virus to activate. i think with our pace and technology the virus can be designed effeciently within the next 50 years.

No, that wouldn't be possible because a virus itself is not a living organism, and neither is a dead human cell. Viruses only exhibit life like properties when inside living cells. Viruses that turn people in zombies however do exist, but we don't really refer to those infected as zombies ;)

I have not seen the movie. As you have described it, it is a common fantasy of a genre of horror movies.

It is hard for me to comprehend how such a thing could fit into our current understanding of science.

Cloning cells and animating them with new life, that is not hard ... it is more political approval problem than science challenge.

Inanimate objects, or creatures with litttle or no intelligence ...we have that in reality, not a problem.

But how to recover a soul after it has gone to the next world?

How to recover memories which are stoured in proteins in the brain, and get them into another body, such that the new body is able to integrate the memories of self.

This is science fiction ... it could be centuries or millennia before mankind figures out that stuff.

It would be easier to put our consciousness into a futuristic computer.

You cannot regenerate dead human cells as they would die again quickly unless you could regenerate entire organs at once to maintain cells.

As for live people becoming zombies, I'd say its possible, brain damage that would amplify and isolate agression and hunger while damaging the motor strip so you walk stupid.

Isn't there a forum on low budget, no-brainer, horror flicks you could post this to? It'd probably get a lot more attention and responses ☺

But, no. There are currently no known ways to regenerate dead tissue. It'd probably be easier to 'grow' an entire embryo 'in vitro' with a DNA sample than to regenerate dead tissue.

There are T viruses (also called phages) already in existence. They only infect bacteria though. And no, they don't have anything to do with zombies.

I hope he stays away. He's caused far too much trouble for quite a lot of people.
