Most McDonalds dont like hiring 14 and 15 year olds because of the labor laws. If there are people older than you submitting applications then they will most likely hire the older people. If your under 16 you cant do numerous things like use the grills, fryer vats, or go into the walk-in freezers. You also have to be off at certain times, depending on what time of year and your city laws. Try going to the McDonalds and asking for the store manager. If he or she is not in then ask when they will be. Talk to the store manager before talking to any crew or callling again. If you speak to them personally then they will remember you and most likely hire you on the spot. Good luck!

OK for one you do not have to have a diploma to work at McDonald's I am 16 and work there. They called me the day after they accepted my application, but they didn't ever call my boy fried. If you know that your local MD is hiring then go back and fill out an application, but give it straight to the manager because if you don't another crew member may not like you and just ignore it into the trash can. I have seen people do this and i think that it is completely unfair. just keep trying you will get something eventually.

first of all i am not sure what state you are in; however in the state of Texas you have to be 15. It could be that the person that gave you the info that you can start was wrong about the hire date' or someone that is hirer up then them feels it may be a risk to hire someone at 14. I guess the last alternative is ;between the time you asked and you filled out an app. they filled their positions. If indeed that is the case don't give up and tomorrow go back up there (dressed for an interview) and ask to speak to a manager, and let them know you put in an app. last week and you were wondering the status on it. Most of all good luck in your adventure.

Fast food places generally call within a week if they are hiring. Otherwise, they are either not hiring, or do not want to hire someone as young as 14, due to all the liabilities and restrictions on 14 year olds working. You could try reapplying again, and make sure you hand it to the manager (instead of someone at the front counter). But if you still don't hear anything, you might want to try somewhere else or wait until you are older.

They will call you within 3 days IF you are considered for hiring at that branch. Call them back to see where you stand. Let them know and show them how interested you are in working with their corporation. Pick up applications at other branches as well. If you only have one McDonald's in your town .... call them any way. The person they hire instead of you just might not work out. If you show them how interested you are, you just might be the next on the list to be called in for an interview. Good luck.

Call Mcdonalds or stop by a ask the manager if is they are still hiring. If your persistant they may hire you sooner or later. If they get to know you the manager will know that you are really willing to work and your interested.

The essence of job hunting is polite persistence. Drop off a note to the manager asking politely and respectfully for an interview.

It looks like they probably ignored your application. You should go back there and ask the manager about it.

Oh yeah, and your pic doesn't look 14 years old...it looks like a 35 year old dude waking up in the morning with 5 o' clock shadow lol

Keep going in an checking on your application every week. Ask to speak to the manager every time you go, and usually staying on top of this will show you are truly wanting the job. Do not call, go in person to inquire. Phone calls and emails are not acceptable to managers.
