It's clear that many of the people that answered this question have no understanding of the impact of environment on one's life. What - is it a coincidence that nazis existed in Germany only, or are these people racists themselves, believing that Germans were predisposed to becoming nazis?
If these unthinking people are representative of the population, and you count this as a mini-survey, I would say the nazis won't be getting treated better any time soon.
And yes, there must have have been some that weren't brainwashed, but how many of those people were there, really? In my estimation, not many. And as for new nazi parties, how many people are members? Compare those numbers to the number of people that were members of the nazi party during WWII. It's not even close. Why is that? Is it possibly because the people now have a choice, and the people then were brainwashed?

They deserve no remorse, no forgiveness. It is my hope that the weight if their guilt consume them each and every day. May the face of all those who suffered and who perished under the Nazi rein forever live in their minds. For those few that may still be alive who took part in any way shape or form regardless of their role ,anyone who turned a blind eye and especially those who committed these horrendous crimes, should never be forgiven as well. This goes not for just the Nazi's, but for any genocidal maniacs. Brainwashing is no excuse for embracing hate, murder and go against the laws of any civilized nation. Remember Yugoslavia? In a few years should we forgive the war crimes of the Kamira Rouge and those in Darfur as well? Wake up! The people that are facing the heat are not people that were part of something and committed no major crimes. Those Nazi's that have been put on trial and hunted down deserved what they got. They were proud of their achievements. When you wish to excuse war crimes and crimes against humanity as simple brainwashing you are truly ignorant to not only the past but to the present. I guess we should just forgive the Taliban and Al Qaeda too. After all they are only rain washed. They did not mean to murder 3,000 people in the twin towers and take the lives of the innocent. Yeah you are right, let's just open all the prisoner doors too. While we are at it, we can simple lay down and let every maniac in the world walk up and down our asses and forgive them too.
Ok,
Should there still be ex Nazi's still alive and out there in this world? I would actually would be willing to give them slack, in their rope as they hung from their necks until their last breathe. You are right they deserve that kind of slack....

Yeah you are right. Let's just give them a break for genocide, torture, being war mongers and maniacal monsters. They were forced to believe in Hitler, the 3rd Reich and all of the doctrine. Are you that ignorant of world history? For those who committed atrocities against humanity and war crimes should never be forgiven and their victims should never be forgotten. If you were taken away against your will and gas to death, would you want those responsible to be forgiven?
I highly doubt it. If it was not for the fortitude of the brave generation of men and women that stood against them and gave their lives liberating Africa, Europe and defeating Hitlers army we might very well be saying Hail Hitler ourselves. You should thank your sweet *** that is not the case. Before you jump to this idiotic conclusion it is time to forgive and forget think twice. We must remember so that it never ever happens again.
When we wish to forget and forgive the past of criminals and their actions, we disgrace the victims and dishonor all those who stood in their way. My Great Uncle died in the Arizona at Pearl Harbor, My grandfather fought in the drenches of Europe against the Nazi's. Their crimes should never ever be forgiven." In My Humble Opinion" 6 million Jews, 1 million American service men and women, their families and loved ones would not agree with you
Let us never forget!

Probably Never. But having said that you can't say that they wanted to torture those victims. There has been a study carried out in 1963 by Stanley Milgram on Obedience, and he found that almost anyone can conform to authority figures. Even YOU. Now that's saying something.

it's funny how we are so progressive and encourage change but most can't seem to accept that some people (ex-nazis, by your example) have changed and will continue to stigmatize and punish them...and even in some instances stigmatize people for actions their dead family members have done (even though the person their stigmatizing had nothing to do with it).
i'm not really answering your questiong. just thinking out loud. every culture has done something horrible to another culture at one point in time.

When the former Allied powers admit to trumping up charges against them, fabricating evidence for the Nuremberg trials, and obtaining false confessions from former Nazis through torture, trickery, and coercion. in short, never.

you're kidding right?
there are plenty of "new nazi parties" who aren't "brainwashed"
that's like saying any racism is forgivable because they were taught to hate as a kid
Alot of them WERE NOT brainwashed
