I need to eat more when I have a Cross Country meet or a Lacrosse game. That's why my school has an a la carte selection. And if you go for the main meal, you can ask for less if you want. I do when it's spagetti because it's high in carbs and I don't want to take a lot of insulin. I think the portions are fine, who really cares about school lunch anyway? It's all bad. Besides, I won't be too happy, if I didn't eat enough and I pass out during a game or meet because I didn't have enough.

Meals should be balanced, nutritious, and served in the right portions.
I'm not sure about a "Ladies sized portion."
My baby girl is 18, 5'8", and in her world, there is no ladies sized portion. Kid eats me out of house and home.
And Note: She's a size 9 .....killer figure....loves long walks....So, no, her appetite is Not ruining her figure. By no means is this young lady overweight.
Sometimes it's not as easy as it seems, dear. There is no pretty gloss that makes it all so uniform and pat. People are individuals. Adults should be capable of making appropriate adult decisions. We'd have world peace if it was as easy as what your questions describe. ....just make ladies sized portions, or just don't allow your wife to see anything rated higher than PG, or make sure you discipline her and everything will be just peachy....It just doesn't go that way.
Your kind of maipulation is insidious and incites people to rebellion. It tears up families. No woman wants her man to hit her. Figure that one out. Mutual respect and trust are what adult relationships are built on. Responsible decision making, not some bimbo submissive going, "Shall I make you a pillow today, dear?"
Sorry, you bug me sometimes.

I eat like this; I eat only to survive and if I do snack it's usually on something like frozen fruit such as berries and or mangoes. That's the best way to eat; eat to survive that's what food is for. No worries I am not starving and there is plenty of food in the house; it's just the way I do things.

What, are you being charged by the ounce at dinner??
Everyone's metabolism is DIFFERENT! And I know when I was pregnant or nursing, I was extra hungry alot. There have also been times I just wasn't all that hungry for a few days.
I think you need to find something else to worry about.

I think they should serve smaller portions regardless. This country is obese because we don't know what a REAL portion size is.
However, if i'm hungry, u'd better bet i'm gonna eat that double cheeseburger with bacon, french fries and maybe a couple bites of yours. :) with a diet coke of course...

I would agree 100%. It would be a good start to battle the increasing obesity epidemic that is currently plaguing the United States.

I don't necessarily agree with that. I eat more then my than husband at lunch, but he eats more at dinner. We eat about the same at breakfast.
I do think they should offer half-orders more often. I have been to restaurants that offer that and I believe it to be great.
I eat appetizers sometimes for dinner at restaurants.

No, everyone should eat until they feel full, regardless of it being a bigger portion. Some days I feel hungrier then others.

Buddy, you are not going to tell women how much they should weigh or eat because honestly it is none of your concern, I will eat as much as I want or as little as I want without consulting a man to see if the portion I am eating it alright with him. It is my body I will do what I please with it and you do the same with yours.

you have a point, but restaurants can't always be expected to offer 2 sizes of everything. if someone (man or woman) doesn't want to finish everything, they can bring it home.
