If I accidentally offend a friend, I apologize and explain to the friend that I didn't mean anything. If this person is a good friend and you have a good relationship with th person then they will be completely understanding and the whole situation will blow over!

If it is a just friend it would depend on the situation. Going to them might cause more problems, but it may also be just the thing they are looking for. For you to come to them and help set it straight. It really does depend on the situation. If it is a really good friend then I would definitely go to them. My really good friends, those near-and-dear-to-my-heart kind of good friends, well, I would go to them. I would explain myself fully after a sincere apology. And if I think it would help I bring flowers and chocolate. My very best friend loves it when I bring her flowers and chocolate, that's how she knows I really am sorry. This is something personal that stems from when we were in high school together.

The best thing to do is to tell them that you're sorry and try to work it out. The worst thing to do is to leave the situation alone and hope it blows over as that usually ends the friendship as the person will take it that you don't care about them or apprciate them and there friendship.

I make a heartfelt and brief apology. There's no point to belaboring the thing that offended the person to begin with and this is the time to put my own desire to shield myself from blame or responsibility aside. I just say I'm sorry that I offended them.

Well if you offend you should appoligize and say that you didnt mean to offend that person or you didnt think that, that would have offended them so you said whatever it was you said. Talk it out and hope for the best I mean the worst they could do is tell you to go to hell.

it really depends on what offended them. if it was a difference of opinion i would let it blow over. if i unintentionally offended them i would apologize and try to talk it out.

If they will talk to me it is an absolute necessity for me to make amends for what I have done and to clean up the wreckage if there is any.
Also I must stay willing to do that till they will talk to me.

If it was truly an accident and they're truly your friend, talk it out. They should understand if you explain and sincerely appologise.
