In 1999 I went to see Blondie at Wembley Arena. Stupidly, a few days before the concert, my mate and I decided it'd be a good idea to spend the day of the show out on the lash. We both caught the train to Victoria, and then the tube to Wembley, ensuring we were there for pub-opening time at 11am.
We then proceeded to spend the whole day boozing in the Wetherspoons in Wembley. At about 7 o'clock, p*ssed as newts, we realised we ought to be heading towards the arena as it was show time. My mate thought he knew which way to go. But it turned out he hadn't a clue. We drunkenly stumbled around Wembley till we found the arena.
By the time we got there we'd missed the 'special guests' (Squeeze) and Blondie had already started. We carried on knocking back pints in the arena. Hence my mate fell asleep during the concert, and I missed loads of it due to regular trips to the loo!
So, all in all, a waste of two tickets really.
Then in 2004, Blondie played an outdoor concert at Rochester Castle gardens, near where I live. We both went along, SOBER this time, to see what we'd missed a few years previous.
They were awful.

Hey, not that old!
David Bowie, Black Sabbath, Family, Wishbone Ash, Slade, Van Morrison, Rod Stewart, Queen, Genesis, ........
OK got a good point there; only Van Morrison is still performing!!!!
At least got to see Bowie in UK before he became ill and unable to carry on.
Good question, have a star.

Absolutely not.
Who wants to see them old and fat when you can remember them in their prime and that's just the audience!
