The nuns used to hit us on the wrists with rulers in Catholic School.

In my day they would throw the chalkboard erasers at you and hit your desk with their pointers. If you were repeatedly bad you would be sent to the principal to get the strap. The amount of lashes on your hands would depend on the severity of your "crime"

We used to have a teacher that would kick you if you had your feet in the aisles and my sister was paddled once but I don't think they allow that kind of thing now.

there was one math teacher who used to fling dusters at people.
our IT teacher called us idiots and threatened to 'throw us out the window' on a regular basis.

Oh yeah! I had this brutal math teacher. She used to punch me every time I didn't answers to her questions... Thanks to that bit*ch I changed school and went to a new one, which was WAY better than the old one. Thanks oh you old Spinster-Witch, I found a much better life in other school ;P

On the wrist with rulers, as was already mentioned...Nowadays, parents would sue/call it abuse...*L*...Wish it was like that back then...
