Till now 4 Test series have been played between Sri Lanka and England in Sri Lanka. England won 2 series and Sri Lanka wqon 2 series.
6 Test series have been played between Sri Lanka and England, out of which England won 3, Sri Lanka 1 and 2 were drawn.

England have won two series in 1982 and 2002 in Sri Lanka and they have lost to Sri Lanka in 1993 and 2005 in Sri Lanka.

Well, they haven't been there terribly often... but they won the 2001 series in Sri Lanka 2-1 and won the one-off test there in 1982
