Every single nintendo wii question i have read there is some retard telling you how to get one for free. This is what they say 'if you fill in some quick online tasks you get a wii delivered to your door'. For people reading this, do not do it. Which company would waste thousands of pound by giving away free consoles? In the long term, the people who got the consoles might eventually have to pay for them. Just stop posting this crappy comment and tell someone who cares. I would rarter spend my honest cash on one (like i did) than live in worry of a big bill coming to my door. Oh and one last thing, i bet one of those total crackheads puts a post on here saying ' oh but it realy does work blardy blardy blah.....' to tell u the truth, i dont care!

Those people are stupid, yes. However, there are many legitimate websites, but they do not solicite users advertising their links on other sites. This upsets me because there are legitimate companies that make money by referring people to advertisers in order to gain profit. If you are interested in this at all, you can research one of the most popular legitimate 'freebie referall' companies in Transcendant Innovations, or TRAINN for short ( I dont know why lol). Anyway, these people are spamming their links so that they can get referalls and get themsleves some free stuff. Just report abuse of their question, and if you really want to get them find out what referall sight they use and contact them. When the find out they were advertising their link they'll get their account suspended, and stop posting these stupid answers. I hope that this helps you :)

This is a part of what's called the "pyramid scheme". It's probably the only con in which the victim actually gets something (or not; I've never took part in one). In order for the victim to get said free item (Nintendo Wii), he/she must tell five or so other people to participate, then enroll in a million different trial offers.

Yahoo! Answers is a huge place. Tons of questions pour in per minute. It's the perfect target for dumb people. Some people actually buy into it.
I remember reading in the newspaper a boss told his employee to actually try to see what happens. The guy got spam every day, actually had to buy magazine subscriptions to equal the amount of the object he was getting. It's really insane...
