Nash is more clutch than Dirk, so you wouldn't have to worry about Dirk choking. When Dirk is loose and doesn't have to be the clutch guy, he's an impossible matchup--7ft shooting fadeaways. People complain about the Suns not having the D to win a championship, but Avery Johnson brought better D to the Mavs....combine that with Nash's offensive brilliance and you have well rounded offense/defense.

They probably still wouldn't have a dominant big man inside like Duncan or Shaq, but it's possible to win without that. The Jordan Bulls didn't have the best center, just a capable one.

no i do not think so. nash fits the suns offense much better then he fitted the mavs. nash likes to run and alley oop and the mavs arent like that. not to mention jason terry's defense is what helped make the mavs a better team. they still have fire power but now they can play some defense too.

i think nash needed a new scene and as you see he got a second wind the last 3 years. as much as i love nash on my Suns he is still a liability defensively and it would hurt the mavs.

its not that nash has all of a sudden got better its just he has players that fit him much better. after all how many pick and roll did you see nash and dirk perform? stoudemire isnt a jump shooting big man so him and nash were able to play a great two on two game within the game. and with that happening it helps marion float around for open shots which helps nash get more assist.

also nash couldnt have stayed because they would of hit the salary cap limit because terry makes less then nash.

but i think terry suits dallas better then nash.

maybe, i would say DEFINATELY, but its really not that defiante. If they had not let go of Steve then they would not have had the cap space 2 sign Jason Terry, or 4 that matter, they would not have needed him becasue we all know jason was picked up 2 replace Steve as best he can,and if nash hadn't left there woulda been no Eric Dampier, or Desagana Diop. and DEvin Harris would not b as good as he is if nash was there beceasue although Nash could teach him alot, Harris would b benched most of the game. And Nash would be the cornerstone of their offense and Josh Howard would not have stepped up in the way which he has. And if i don't think nash could have averaged 11 assists with dallas the way he did with Phoenix. And i don't think he would b as good and dominating the league the way he is with Dallas. They just run their offense 2 slow and a half court style 2 make the most of Steve nash and his abilities, where Phoenix runs like there's no tommorow. But if Nash did endup averaging soemthing like 16 points and like 9-10 asssits a game( which is the most he could pretty much average in Dallas's offense) then they might be able 2 win the gold, but thats highly doubtful.

Yes... To be honest there is no point guard in Dallas. Jason Terry is really sharp shooter with great 3 pt skills. However, he is not the player that will make his teams involved like Nash. Imagine

PG - Nash
SG - Terry
SF - Howard
PF - Dirk
C - Dampier and Diop
Bench - Stackhouse...

Pretty formidable even though C is little shaky..
However, if Nash was there Dallas could have one at least one championship

Maybe not. Nash got a ton more money than the MAvs were willing to give. There's a good chance that a few of the players they have now would not be on the team because of the salaries.

No, I don't think so because neither Irk or Nash can play defense. Nash and Amare still seem like a better duo in the pick and roll than Nash and Irk. All Irk would be able to do is pick and pop.

I think they definately would have. Jason Terry is a good point guard, but Nash is the best in the league. Add him to this year's team and they could've beaten everyone.

Yes they would have, Just like Jerry did not want to
pay SHAQ big bucks and listended to kobe, and
thought shaq was old Cuban said Nash was old and
would get injured so he did not want to pay him.
They both messed up.

No. If the Mavericks can geet such a good record without Nash. They don't need him. He may cause a mix of chemistry problems, 2 all-stars don't usually cooperate that well, even the best of friends..(ex:Shaq + Kobe)

Dallas' bench was not strong enough.....even if Nash were there.
