I've never been to a circus but always hear about a 3 ring circus. What that mean?

A 3 ring circus is like a regular circus but more "extreme" because it has three rings! In a three ring circus the clowns are funnier (or less scary), the elephants are smarter, the lions more deadly, the trapeze artists more trapezzy! Seriously, regular circuses are for suckers. Once you go three ring you never go back!

3 ring circus has 3 rings. Usually one center and two on the sides.

Just that. A circus is performed in a giant ring. A 3 ring circus a really large one performed in three large rings. Think of comparing a high school band to Led Zeppelin. Get the image now?

There are three things going in three sections of the areana (each section is called a ring). a circus can just have one ring. Just makes it sound like your getting more.

I don't think there is any real difference, it is just a bite of marketing and hype that makes the event sound more than it really is.
