Acting funny and stalling are usually associated with a problem of a vacuum leak, injector problems or basic ignition misfires. It would help to know what type of motor we're dealing with here. Any motor needs to have strong and consistent spark output to all cylinders. I suggest removing each spark plug wire at either end, one by one, and inspect the boots for split insulation, corroded connections or cut insulation anywhere else. If you start to find corrosion on anything including the coil tower and dist. cap, replace all affected parts and the complete set of wires with a fresh set of plugs. If this is good, have a look and listen around the motor area for vacuum leaks. If you don't see anything, buy a spray type of throttle cleaner and spray it around the gasketed areas of the intake while the motor runs to see if you can get it to act up. If it does, you have a vacuum leak at that area. If you don't find anything with what I've said and you have a 4.3L motor, you probably have a leaking fuel injector inside the upper intake plenum. Take the plenum off and inspect and if it is leaking, you will know for sure. Good luck.

Could be fuel system,-injector, filter..

Engine,-timming, idle control...

we need more info, and you may want to run an OBD test on your truck.
