I really am against women staying in college dorms for several reasons. First off, most lack their own kitchen so the main appliance that women usually use is the microwave. However, microwave food is generally less healthy and also using it week after week causes a habit of laziness to form in them so when they get out and get married, instead of cooking, they just microwave food and feed it to their family. This is part of the reason for obesity in many children now. In addition to all that, 99% of the time they have no male relative to protect them there so she might get involved with some guy and lose her virginity out of wedlock. Plus, the general atmosphere in a dorm corrupts young women and they might be needed at home to help their young brothers and sisters out or their parents.

Wow, Marilyn, "some guy will appear to her dorm and have sex with her, with no parents supervision!!!" You make university sound like a stint in a concentration camp.

Sandstorm, the gloss, hon. You're really reaching for generalizations here, and you've gotten Marilyn near to hysteria.

There is no pretty glaze that makes the world all perfect, ok? Each person draws from the experience of their lives and grows from there. So, if a college student should marry, I am sure eventually that college student and their respective degree will learn how to cook on a stove. It's just not rocket science, dear.

And P.S. You don't have to be in a college dorm where " she might get involved with some guy and lose her virginity out of wedlock." Losing or not losing virginity is an individual choice and is not normally determined by location.

BTW, I thought you were going into fashion design....

oftentimes human beings do not imagine of dorms as places for childrens. you comprehend what the concern there is like, we do not. ask your self no matter if it is an section the position she will be able to be delicate, and experience secure and take care of? Are the individuals interior the dorm up in any respect hours, in all likelihood waking her up? Are there surprising, loud noises? Are the individuals there respectful? If the residing preparations look authentic looking, you would opt to make certain if the college has a issue with it. they might have regulations hostile to childrens sound asleep over. would you get in hassle if that is the case? I under no circumstances lived in a dorm, yet I lived in kinfolk student housing which became some blocks faraway from the dorms and student housing. there became continuously a weekend roar happening interior the area from each of the activities and drunkards.

I love going to visit my brother in his dorm. And the college he is at they can have a little George Forman grill to cook on. I think girls should be allowed to be in dorms because then they can get to experience life without their parents. And that is their problem if she sleeps with every guy in the dorm. I mean when I hang out in my bro's dorm guys (his friends) stop in and talk to me thinking I am older, but its so fun to experience college life. I feel so safe when I am visiting my brother because I have like a whole hall filled with his friends that are protective of me, and if I was allowed to stay the night I would but I can't unless the RA says yes. And he is a softy with me, but anyway I feel protected when I am there.

And I am guessing you think a woman's place is in the kitchen? Well you are SO wrong because some women of today are smarter than males. And plan a future for them and their families not involving slaving over a stove having kids. You my friend are stuck in the days where men were power-hungry and put women down. AND MADE them stay at home un-educated, having about 20 kids, cooking, and then their daughters are the same way being pushed around by a male. I DON'T THINK SO! I hope you do not have a wife or girlfriend. I would feel so bad for her. And you are a SEXIST PIG!

Are these real statistics or just your opinion? Women are perfectly okay living in dorms. I should know, I lived in one my first two years in college. I live in an apartment now with 3 other women, and we're just fine, thank you.
Women don't need to be "protected", and assuming you're an adult if you're in college, then as a person (in general, male or female) you should be mature enough to be aware of your surroundings and (hopefully) be able to take care of yourself. And who doesn't microwave food in dorms? Most dorms have kitchens, anyway.

First, if you're really serious, your post is one of the most sexist I've ever read. Secondly, if a college tried to bar females from living in the dorms, that college or university would be guilty of discrimination based on gender which is a federal civil rights violation.

So it's never going to happen. Maybe you should move to the Middle East where the women are segregated from the men and you might just meet your "dream" girl!

I loved my dorm!
I had 20 brothers that lived right down the hall. I've never felt so protected and cared for in my whole life!
They did have single sex halls too that many people chose to stay in.
We had a kitchenette for all to share, so we could still cook. Then we had the cafeteria for meals.

The dorm experience is totally dependent on the person and HOW they behave-- don't brush everyone with the same broad strokes...

I know your mother raised you in a cave, she should have left you there and had a good life on her own poor woman. Grow up and smell the future women are here to stay.Men are the ones that think with the small heads behind the zipper.I hope you never get married, she will be a slave to you.

Well, I agree with you about the microwaves. They do produce much less healthful food.
And I agree that dorm life is not the best atmosphere. (Have you seen "Girls Gone Wild"?)
I don't know why you are asking this question about women and college, though, since you prefer 14-year-old girls to get married to. They're too young for college.

Are you from the 1940s? Give me a break. Women aren't put on this planet to cook for men. If women shouldn't be allowed to stay in dorms neither should men. By the way, I know many men that are incredible cooks (way better than me or my gfs). Get a grip on reality.
