Some people tend to ask questions and then get busy during the week and forget to choose a best answer. And in some cases some people ask a lot of questions and have so many open questions that they can't handle sitting through all of them and reading all of the answers to choose a best answer. And in some cases some people simply don't know how to choose a best answer as they may have a lot of answers that are really good.

I don't get it either. You lose 5 points by asking a question, so why not choose a best answer and get 3 of those points back? Makes no sense to me. :P
