Implantation bleeding would be much earlier than that. If the tests at the doctor were negative, that probably indicates a miscarriage.

HCG levels are supposed to double every 48 hours, 7 is very low - some people naturally have a level of 5. A pregnancy test would probably come out negative now as 7 is just not enough for a test to pick up - the minimum test you can buy pick up a level of 10. If the test was positive, the level must have been higher at some point, so it looks as though a very early miscarriage may have happened. This has happened to me, it means that the egg did not implant correctly - it has no bearing on fertlity. i got pregnant again the next month and here I am at 16 weeks. I dont know if it may help in anyway, but it might be worth doing another pregnancy test now - see what it says.

I had bleeding early on in my pregnancy. It started out brown and then had episodes of bright red with clots! It turned out that I had low progesterone. I had to take pills and they didn't work, so my husband had to give me shots every night for the first 12 weeks. I have a wonderful 2 year old princess now! I would get a blood test and find out what your levels are.

If you were 5 weeks, you had a miscarriage. Implantation bleeding occurs when the fertilized egg first implants into the lining of the uterus--usually several days after fertilization. You were too far along for that. My condolences.

my wife was pregnant and at 6 weeks she lost it. the bleeding was the same as you described, including the clots. doc confirmed miscarriage with a blood test. luckily, she did not need a DNC, her body just got rid of it on it's own. you might want to talk to your doc again. her type of miscarriage is very common, the doc called it a chemical pregnancy, happens 1 out of 5 pregnancies.

Im sorry hun, it does sound like a miscarriage. implantation bleeding would happen alot sooner than now. Call your dr. so they can make sure that you flush it all out of your system so you dont get an infection. i wish you the best of luck.

While that sounds like a miscarriage you can either wait (you are either pregnant or you aren't) or you can go back to the doctor for another test.
What kind of test did the doctor use?
