I can't imagine not calling mine that but at the same time I can't imagine my 25 year old boyfriend calling his grandmother 'granny'.

We call our one set Nana and Papa. the other set we call Grammy and Bid Daddy. My brother named my dad's dad big daddy when he was little because he said that he had a regular daddy, and a big daddy. After that it sort of stuck. I'm a teen and I still call them their names, and probably always will. My dad still refers to his grandma as Baba too.

I'm 29 and I have one grandparent left. She's 93 and I still call her "Grandma" but she doesn't really know who I am anymore. Grandpa died in 1999. My other grandparents died in the 1970s so I never had names for them.

i'm 26, i have 2 grandma's alive, neither are doing well, i call one gramma i, for ida and the other just grandma
