Ted Williams facing off against Phil Niekro.
Finest hitter in history against the greatest knucklerballer ever witnessed.
Could even Ted take out the floater with consistency? (Or will he just wait and watch four go wide?)
Then I want Steve Carlton against Mike Hargrove, with Carlton Fisk catching. They'll grow beards waiting for one plate appearance to finish.

I would love to see Roger Clemens pitch to Mickey Mantle the matchup of fastball and home run hitter! I would also love to see Johan Santana pitch to Pete Rose a matchup that i think would be a classic and finally Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth in a home run hitting contest with each getting 15 chances to hit home runs!

i would like to see rogers hornsby try to get a hit off of greg maddux. i think they are two of the best players ever, but were sort of overshadowed a bit in their careers by more flashy players
