yeah,... i remember when i was a cop and would go on my CODE 7 (lunch break)...and we would be at a restaurant eating; and some silly parents would come and interrupt us and say,"I hate to bother you while you are eating,but can I ask you to tell "little susie/bobby" that you will take him to jail if he continues to act bad??"" I used to think, "No, you moron! I won't put fear of a cop in your child like that!"

...but, i would happy write you a ticket for stupidest question to ask a cop!

I have never been bothered by anyone saying that to me. I guess it depends on how busy you are when they interrupt you. Usually I like to help others out, it makes me feel good.
