It seems that it was necessary to support the entire chain of existence. From the phyto-/zooplankton that are at the beginning of the food chain, to the top predators, they all play a part in the process that supports human life.

Some we eat, some we domesticate and call our companions, others we enjoy watching and are pleased with their antics. All are part of the Great Plan that our Creator has mapped out. All are integral to the plan. When a species goes extinct, that is part of the plan. When we get a disease carried by a creature, that is part of the plan.

God created animals to teach us how to be human.

Perhaps it may be because

He wanted to prove the division of power and theory of inequality among all the organisms.

The simple point is that a special power is used to do a special type of work.

He wanted to prove that we all are not same so that we all may collide and find ways to take this collision in our own ways.

He created animals like lion tiger to portray need of power.

He created animals like horses and elephants for humans to understand that he can develop himself at the cost of others and thus accelerate self development.

He created animals like rakoon chimpanzees and orangutan to facilitate the need of strategic planning to develop and defend onself.

If these animals would have not been there humans would have been stagnant.

There would have been no need of power thereby resulting in lack of development of arms and ammunition.

If horses would have not been there there would have been no development of conveyance thereby resulting in a narrow social circles.

If monkeys and apes would have not been there there would have been no development of intellectual skills.

So there was a need of organisms having different powers and characteristics

and so were animals created.

Friend,

An interesting question really.

Do you believe in God?Your question makes me assume you do.O K then.

God is Omnipresent ,Omnipotent and Omniscient. So He knows what to do,when to do ,how to do.He is the greatest artist, greatest scientist ,Greatest in any field.

Friend, Just imagine a painting canvass with a single colour you like with nothing on it.Either blue or red or whatever you like. How do you like it?Will you look at it for second time? Will that give you any happiness?
Next let us go to a Zoo.there are no animals at all.Only plants and trees.(if You ask why god created plants and trees , there are not even plants ,flowers, trees grass even).how do you like it?

You look at the evening sky, sun setting down and various birds returning their home.If you ask why God created birds. the sky is empty with no chirruping soungs. How do you like it?

so friend in the creation every thing is beautiful.Everything is having its value and place as you and I have.He knows best who creates them.He is all merciful and he loves and wants to keep you and all happy.spo he created such a beatiful nature with vareity of plants, colourful flowers, fragrace filled flowets, dazzling butterflies.different beautifully coloured birds, differend animalls with great skills and beauty of their own,ate you not happy with the creation, are you not feeling happy at beach,Look around and see the vereity. No man can create such vareities.God ONLY can do.

So there is meaning in every thing. If you carefully observe each thing in nature teaches you a lesson.Try it.Then you will never ask this question again.

just like creation of humans, one more species. somtimes nature creates over time and it could be creation of opposites to balance out. every species has a right to live and grow in this planet. this monkey descendats called man has destroyed everthing on earth in record pace including other species. other species have no greed only humnas have that triat. animals dont kill for fun or profit man does. man is possible the worst mistake of god because he will end up distroying everthing for power, wealth and prestige and is becoming very insensitive to anyone other than himself

Life may be just a side effect of what the Creator wants?
Forever is a long time. Life has only been around a short time compared to the time the Universe has existed.

Huh are you speaking English or slang? Why? Why not? Animals are beautiful creatures each one is an expression of the Creator and many are necessary for life on Earth to thrive each creature depends on other creatures even us.
