building a robot is based on three disciplines, mechanics, electronics and computer programming. at the bachelor degree level you will probably have to take an engineering degree in one of those discipliness with a 'robotics' focus.
if your robot is not going to be physically very different from existing robots then you don't need mechanics. if you want to build something odd shaped like wire climbers or task specific mech forms then you do need it.
the electronics are likewise well established if you don't want to be revolutionary. however sensor development is always in the works and you should be aware.
currently computer programming is the most volatile field, where the most change is happening. as processors get more speed and memory on a chip, programmers can make advances in the 'inteligence' of the robot.
so as for course work you might consider a double major. i would recomend the computer science/ computer engineering as the first and electronics as the second. or maybe mechatronics if you find a college offering it.
the best robotics college in the US is Carnegie Mellon.
As for starting the factory, business management is wholly unrelated an necessary.

Write in English that you don't speak Japanese, then state your same request.
I have known students that have gone to Japan, on the student exchange program, and lived with host families, while going to school.

Japan is the worlds leader in robotics.
